[00:01:46] As I said, today we're going to talk about the incredible power and momentum of collaboration. So there's an old African proverb which says, if you want to go fast, go alone.

[00:01:54] If you want to go far, go together. Now if you want to build anything extraordinary as an entrepreneur or as a multifamily investor, you're going to recognize that it's a team sport and it requires collaboration.

[00:02:06] You know, Mother Teresa, when she was alive, said, I can do things that you can't and you can do things that I can't, but together we can do great things. And that's the bottom line.

[00:02:13] When we collaborate, we're able to discover and identify a lot more than we ever would on our own.

[00:02:19] Now it's also important to remember that everyone you run across is going to know something you don't.

[00:02:23] This life that we're gifted and blessed to live, it's not something we do on our own.

[00:02:27] It's this giant collaboration. It requires us to bring people around us who support us and encourage us and push us to become more.

[00:02:35] Most of us are smart on our own, but when we get together with others, we're actually brilliant.

[00:02:40] When we collaborate, it breeds innovation. And as Peter Gruber says, any business that succeeds long term is nothing but innovation and marketing.

[00:02:48] So when you do amazing things in any business, it's never the result of just one person.

[00:02:53] It's a collaboration of like-minded people helping each other, learning together, producing together, growing together, and a high level of cooperation that just creates extraordinary things.

[00:03:03] That cooperation and collaboration creates unstoppable momentum that'll destroy any competition.

[00:03:09] What it does is it taps into a collective intelligence that's always more powerful than one person trying to figure everything out themselves.

[00:03:16] One of the things that I've learned to do at my various businesses over the years is to collaborate on ideas for improvement inside each business.

[00:03:23] And what we do is we throw up a whiteboard and everybody in the company is pushed to come up with ideas about every aspect of the business.

[00:03:29] And then what I do is give away prizes for the best ideas.

[00:03:32] And I've given away cruises, thousands of dollars, and lots of other things for the best ideas over the years.

[00:03:37] Now, what's astounding when we do this is that we typically implement 60% of those ideas.

[00:03:44] That's how powerful this process is.

[00:03:45] When everyone on a team is collaborating and giving it their best commitment and effort, that's what makes it work.

[00:03:51] When the egos are checked at the door.

[00:03:53] Now, Napoleon Hill in his book, Think and Grow Rich, calls this collaborative process the mastermind.

[00:03:58] When two like minds get together, they create this third, almost intangible third mind, which is always greater than the sum of the parts.

[00:04:05] Now, me, I want to collaborate with people who know more than me, right?

[00:04:09] People I can learn from, which is why my warrior coaching program is so extraordinary because everybody's helping each other.

[00:04:14] I want people who think what I think is hard is easy to collaborate with.

[00:04:18] And that's one of the greatest benefits of joining or creating a mastermind or a group like mine is that collaboration.

[00:04:23] Now, I've been in masterminds for decades.

[00:04:25] And when you find or create or join a group of people to collaborate with that push you and challenge you and hold you to a higher standard.

[00:04:33] And you spend significant time with them, your life will be changed forever.
