[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Let me ask you a question. Now, if you're listening to me, I have to assume you want

[00:00:03] [SPEAKER_00]: financial success, whatever your definition of that may be. You want financial freedom

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_00]: for yourself and your family maybe. Or I would ask you though, how bad do you really want it?

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Right? How urgently do you want it? Or do you have urgency around making that happen in your life?

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you just in comfort? Now, that happens to be the topic of this week's Own Your Power clip.

[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's the incredible power and momentum you get by bringing urgency into your life and into

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: your actions. And that word is almost poetic as it relates to my upcoming three-day live

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_00]: in-person bootcamp coming up in Orlando, November 8th, 9th, and 10th. Yeah. In Orlando, three days.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: If there was ever a time to get in this business, it is right freaking now because there's gonna be

[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_00]: incredible opportunities in the multifamily space because of the current economic uncertainty and

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_00]: the interest rates where they are and the bad debt that a lot of operators got. There's incredible

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: deals coming and they're already here actually. Now, this bootcamp is three full days of training

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_00]: about every important aspect of multifamily investing. I teach you how to find deals,

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_00]: how to evaluate those deals, how to finance them, how to raise all the money you need for them,

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: you know, how to perform careful due diligence so you don't make a mistake and just a lot more.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, there'll be three panels a day with probably three or four billion dollars represented

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_00]: by the panelists to answer your questions. And of course, I spend time on mindset. You'll leave

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: so freaking juiced you won't, you'll be coming out of your skin. Now, this is the only in-person

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: event I do each year. There should be over a thousand people there. So the networking is

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: going to be incredible because this business is a team sport. So text bootcamp to 72345 right now,

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: or go to rodinorlando.com. Create that urgency in your life and change the trajectory of your life.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Again, text bootcamp to 72345 or go to rodinorlando.com right now. And I promise you'll

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_00]: be glad you came. In fact, if you don't love the event afterwards, I'll give you your money back.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. I don't mean like it. I mean freaking love it. I'll see you there. All right, let's get to it.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: As I said, today we're going to talk about the incredible momentum and power you bring into

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_00]: your life when you embody urgency. And we've all got goals and dreams and the best way to

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: bring them into our reality is to push forward with that sense of urgency. And so many of us get

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_00]: caught up procrastinating or making excuses for why we haven't taken action towards those dreams.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we rationalize or we allow ourselves to get sucked into distractions like social media

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_00]: and Netflix or busy work that eats up our time. And I will tell you, I'm looking in the mirror

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: while I'm saying this, or we use the fear of perfectionism and say to ourselves, oh,

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: the things just aren't right right now. Well, the truth is we all know conditions are never perfect.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: You know what many people don't consciously think about is that there aren't any do-overs for this

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: life. This isn't a dress rehearsal for our life, my friend. This is our life. You can't continue to

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: put off until tomorrow or until a time in the future, what you can do today. The problem with

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: waiting and having that tomorrow mindset is that you think you have time. I think Buddha said that

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: even for myself, I've been thinking about getting a jar with marbles for every day of my life

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_00]: that I anticipate I have left and taking one of those marbles out every day and throwing it away

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: reminding myself to seize the day with urgency to make things happen. Carpe diem, baby. Now,

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: as you know, the most successful people on earth are the ones that have a sense of urgency

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_00]: and take massive action. They do whatever it takes to get up early and stay up late and grind to make

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: things happen in their lives. Everyone else is complacently coasting along with no direction or

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: destination. Now I wonder which group will have regrets later in life, or maybe through,

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_00]: you know, their limiting beliefs or fear of failure, they're not taking action. And I'll

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: tell you this, my friend, fear regret much more than failure. I've had scores and scores of

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: failures over the years. We fail our way to success. So many people are comfortable and

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_00]: living that life of comfort, not realizing that the quality of your life hinges on how

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_00]: uncomfortable you can get. That magnificent life of your dreams is right on the other side of

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_00]: comfort, but you have to take action with urgency now or one day you're going to wake up and look

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: around. There won't be any time left to do the things you could or should have done. Maybe you've

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: heard me talk about this hospice nurse in Australia. Her name was Bronnie Ware. And so

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: she helped people when they were about to die. And she asked him a question. And the question

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: was, do you have any regrets? She even wrote a book about it. Something like the five regrets

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: of dying. You want to know what the number one regret was? It wasn't living the life I could

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_00]: have lived, live in someone else's life, not living to what I know I was capable of. So here's the

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: thing. I don't want to live like, I don't want to have that kind of regret. So right now, if you've

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: been asleep, you got to find out exactly what you want to do in this life and create that passion

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_00]: and fire in yourself to take action. Get uncomfortable. It'll be okay. Create a life

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: that matters, that you can be proud of. From this point forward, everything you do, every goal,

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: every task associated with that goal has to have a sense of urgency. Now, when you start something,

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: make sure you have a finish date and create milestones so you can celebrate on the path

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: to that outcome. Every goal has to have a deadline. Otherwise there's no urgency.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Whenever we create tasks in my organizations, we always put due dates on them and we hold one

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_00]: person accountable to each task and due date. That's the only way to complete large projects,

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_00]: one task at a time with a due date and with a sense of urgency. Now remember, when you go to

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_00]: sleep tonight, you're not going to get that day back again. Bill Gates in his book, The Road Ahead

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: said that one of the secrets to Microsoft success is they created a culture of thinking of themselves

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_00]: as always being on the losing side of their industry. And that attitude permeated their

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_00]: company and created that sense of urgency, which caused them to continually work as hard as possible

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_00]: highly competitive field. Now to create this urgency for yourself, you've got to know exactly

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: what it is you want. You have to know why you want it. And if you haven't done your goals or

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_00]: your why's, join me at one of my boot camps because that's the first thing we do because

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_00]: that's the most important piece of this. How do you get something if you don't know what it is?

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Right? And then once you open yourself up to the energy and passion that comes when you create

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_00]: that urgency towards what it is you want, you become freaking unstoppable. Incorporating

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: urgency in your life is giving respect to this gift we've been given to live on this earth.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Urgency is about self-motivating and pushing yourself forward continually. Now it's not a

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_00]: panicked or stressed out lack of control. It's making smart decisions confidently and then

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_00]: acting on them proactively. It's looking for potential roadblocks and moving them as quickly

[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_00]: as you can. Urgency is remaining focused on what it is you want, the outcome. So start with your

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_00]: language. When you walk, have a sense of purpose. Walk as if you're driven. Go do what you want to

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_00]: do now and tell the important people in your life how you feel about them now. Take massive action

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_00]: on your dreams and stop wasting your valuable time on things that don't matter now. I'm Rod

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Kleef wishing you incredible passion and massive success in your business and in your life because

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_00]: you embraced urgency.
