[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So let me ask you a question. Are you analytical? Now I know many of you that listen to my podcast are.
[00:00:06] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, are you the type of person that's been listening to my podcast and maybe other podcasts
[00:00:10] [SPEAKER_00]: for months or even years and you've been considering and exploring this multifamily space
[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_00]: but you really haven't taken any other action? Let me say this and I understand that anything
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_00]: new is intimidating and I'll tell you that many of my most successful students, my warriors,
[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_00]: my most successful warriors are the ones that are analytical or the ones that have aligned with
[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: someone that's analytical like I have. But even though analytical people are very often some of
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: the most successful people in this business, they're also the hardest to get to actually
[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_00]: take action or get started because they have to check off every single box before they make
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_00]: a move. Now if this is resonating with you please listen up. It is time. It's time to take
[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_00]: really move forward. Please stop fearing failure. You want to know what's much worse than failure?
[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Regret. Regret's more painful. So like I said, it is time. With what's happening economically
[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_00]: in this country, incredible deals and opportunities are coming. They're already coming right now.
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Could be the greatest transfer of wealth we see in our lifetimes. So with that said, you
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_00]: can't afford to miss the only live three-day in-person boot camp I do each year. It's in
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: in November. It's the eighth, ninth and tenth. It's three days of learning this exciting
[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: multifamily business and networking with upwards of a thousand people. It's not a big
[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_00]: sales pitch. It is just full-on training and networking. It's incredible. Now I know you want
[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: freedom. Freedom to do whatever you want whenever you want wherever you want and that's
[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: going to require you to take action. Text boot camp to 72345 right now or go to rodinorlando.com.
[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: The financial commitment to come is miniscule but you're going to have to spend some time with me.
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: We have a lot of fun. You will leave so juiced you'll be coming out of your skin. So I promise
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: you'll be glad you came. Again, text boot camp to 72345 or go to rodinorlando.com right now
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_00]: and I'll see you soon. All right let's get to it. Today we're going to talk about the
[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: incredible power of words. Yes, words. The words that you speak to yourself and to others.
[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_00]: So let me ask you this. What are the words that you're using when you speak with yourself?
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Are they empowering you or are they diminishing you? Words have incredible power. They can bring
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: about happiness or they can bring about pain. They can help someone share knowledge with someone
[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_00]: else. They can be used to sway an audience and help them influence their decisions.
[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: They're capable of bringing about strong emotions and pushing people into action.
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Now to be a success in this multifamily business and candidly any business in life in general,
[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_00]: you have to be able to communicate. You have to be able to influence the people around you
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: both personally and professionally. The greatest leaders throughout history have used the power of
[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_00]: words to move us emotionally and to get them to rally behind their causes and have ultimately
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: changed the course of history time and time again. Using the right words and the right
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: sequence can bring love into our lives. It can help us create success in our businesses
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: and garners respect from our peers. Words are very powerful. They can destroy and they can also
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: heal us. When words are spoken from a place of love with truth and kindness,
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: they have the ability to change our world. Words have power but it's important to realize
[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_00]: that power can be both positive but can also be negative. It's important to pay attention and
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: be careful with the words that you speak because once they're spoken, they often can't be forgotten
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: only forgiven. Words have started and stopped wars. They've also been used to build people up
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_00]: but also to tear them down including ourselves. They've given people courage and also filled them
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_00]: with fear. When words are combined properly, they have the power to do incredible amazing
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: things but also unspeakable evil. Compton's encyclopedia has over a half a million words
[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_00]: in the English language but what's surprising is the average person only uses about 2,000 of those
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_00]: words regularly. Less than half a one percent of the words we use most frequently for most people
[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_00]: is about two to three hundred words. Of course we know we can use words to tell people how we
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_00]: feel but what's even more important is to pay attention to the words we say to ourselves
[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_00]: on a regular basis because they create our own reality. When you change the language you use
[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_00]: habitually, when you're speaking to yourself and to others, you can literally change your experience
[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: of the world. The words you use can cause you to change how you feel, change what you think
[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_00]: about and even how you experience your life. Let me give you an example. If you go through
[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: a situation that causes you to be upset, I'm sure you can see the difference between saying
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_00]: you're furious about what happened versus just saying you're annoyed. Those two words create
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: entirely different emotions and completely change how we feel about what we just experienced.
[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_00]: You probably heard me call my past failures seminars. It could have been really easy for
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_00]: me to wallow in my own misery when I lost everything in 2008 and 9 when I lost 50 million
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_00]: dollars but by labeling that a seminar, a learning experience, it greatly affected the
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: place I placed on it. I've interviewed and met people that say they were destroyed and
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_00]: ruined in 2008. How do you think that language affects them personally? If you want to radically
[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_00]: change your perception of the world or the meaning you place on the things that happen to
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: you, I'd encourage you to change the words you use to describe those experiences. I'd also
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: encourage you to expand your vocabulary whenever you can. I'm blessed to love reading which by
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_00]: fault has expanded my vocabulary. Words can truly change your world so when you use them,
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: my friend, use them to inspire and motivate and create. Life is short so don't leave any
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00]: important words to someone you truly care about unsaid. When someone asks you how
[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_00]: you're doing, tell them amazing or fantastic because like the good book says, as you say
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_00]: it so shall it be. I'm Rod Cleaf wishing you incredible passion and massive success
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: in your business and more importantly in your life.
