Multifamily Podcast Network

What is the biggest challenge for a real estate entrepreneur? Capital, deal flow? Talk to any successful entrepreneur about the keys to success and you will probably hear the theme, “mindset,” in every conversation. Despite the glamour and alore at guru conferences, the commercial real estate business is a cumbersome business with a very steep barrier to entry. Without ongoing personal development and the right mindset, one will find their exit before ever getting started.

On today’s episode, our special guest is Jeffrey Holst, attorney, real estate coach, realtor, businessman, and a host in two podcast shows, the Old Fashion Real Estate Show and Last Life Ever. Jeffrey’s background is one of tragedy, despair, and inspiration. Jeffrey, despite his difficult journey, has made it his personal mission to “never have a bad day” which has lifted him from very grim circumstances to a fulfilled life of achievement and success.

At the age of 17, Jeffrey made the personal decision to begin living the best version of his life by declaring to never have a bad day. It was this declaration that help Jeffrey battle through life threatening cancer, loss of his business, and bankruptcy. Jeffrey leveraged his passion for real estate and his outlook on life to pave a new path that you have to hear to believe.

In this episode, we cover:

Tune in to hear the answers to these topics in this very inspiring episode.

The Final Four:

1.    What are you doing for your continued education to further your investing?

Jeffrey: “One thing I'm doing right now is taking classes at Harvard online. Real Estate Investing classes. I try to meet with people that have real estate things, and just talk to them and I read books and listen to podcasts. “

 2.    Who has been the biggest inspiration for your success thus far?

Jeffrey: “My Dad was a big inspiration to me. His mindset has been a big motivating factor for me. Also, Robert Kiyosaki’s book impacted me and changed the way I thought about money. So Kiyosaki or my dad, either my rich dad or my other rich dad, one or the other I guess.”

 3.    What advice would you give to the listeners to help them grow their businesses?

Jeffrey: “Just do it. Real estate’s super forgiving. Don't make crazy decisions and make sure you're analyzing stuff but also don’t overanalyze. Get some knowledge but don't try to know everything.”

 4.    How can the listeners get connected with you and learn more about you?
