Jennifer Barner is the founder of Lighthouse Ventures, a private equity real estate investment firm. She is a real estate investment specialist and entrepreneur with a real estate background including extensive rehab experience. Prior to turning full time real estate investor Jennifer worked in sales at both IBM and Microsoft managing software implementations. She has also helped launch several lifestyle and health companies. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Washburn. She lives in the Kansas City area with her husband and is mom to four children.
Jennifer started her real estate career in November 2015 studying under the Rich Dad program. She did eleven transactions in the first year of which she leveraged her IRA to purchase five properties. Over the last several years, she has become an LP in a 130-unit MF property in San Antonio which was held for 2.5 years. She is currently invested in another MF property as an LP in a 403-unit property in Shreveport. Jennifer became the GP of her own 72 Unit is northwest AR in December 2020. Jennifer has rehabbed 38+ SFR and has over 19 doors consisting of fourplexes, duplexes, and SFR in the Kansas City and surrounding area. She effectively practiced the BRRR strategy on one portfolio of eleven doors valued at $1.12M with no money in the portfolio giving them infinite returns. Her goal is to add 1000 doors to their portfolio over the next 2-3 years.
